Mombasa and Nairobi Tour Overview
This 5-day, 4-night safari takes you through Kenya’s most iconic parks—Tsavo West or Taita Hills, Amboseli, and Tsavo East—offering a diverse blend of landscapes, wildlife, and cultural encounters. Starting with the dramatic scenery of Tsavo West and its legendary man-eating lions, black rhino sanctuary, and Mzima Springs, you’ll then journey to Amboseli for spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and abundant wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, and giraffes. Continue on to Taita Hills for unique stilted lodges overlooking waterholes where animals gather, before ending with thrilling game drives across Tsavo East’s vast savannah. Each day combines unforgettable wildlife experiences, comfortable lodges, and opportunities to visit Maasai villages, creating a truly immersive safari adventure.
Mombasa and Nairobi Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Early morning departure from your village, home or at Airport
Expected arrival at Tsavo West Park/Taita hills Saltlick around 09: 30/10: 30. Tsavo west is the place where, at the beginning of the last century, the legend of the man-eating lions took hold, which inspired them for the film “Spirits in the Darkness” who “opposed” the construction of the railway that would connect the south coast of Kenya with Uganda. Tsavo West encompasses several spectacular habitats: river forests, mountains, lakes and vast plains. It also has a great variety of birds and animals: the numerous pools of water in fact ensure a constant presence of the Kenyan fauna even during the dry season, when different species of animals move further south. The landscape of the park, full of large age-old baobabs, reaches its maximum splendor after the rainy season, when everything seems to take on pink tones and the acacia trees are covered with beautiful white flowers. The black rhino in particular has suffered the action of man: the number of specimens is constantly decreasing and today during a safari in Kenya you can only meet it in the super-protected areas dedicated to it. Arrival at the Lodge around h. 12:30, (it is recommended to bring a photocopy of your passport) lunch and rest. In the afternoon possibility of game drives at the Rhino Sanctuary. (Open from 4 to 6 pm) It will depend on our position in the park. At the base of the hills of Ngulia, in the central area of the park, there is a fenced area where black rhinos were led to better protect them and where it is hoped they can rebuild a larger community. The area can be easily visited by tourists. Return to the lodge after sunset, dinner, after dinner, for the lucky ones, sighting of the leopard intent on eating in the trees, overnight stay.

Day 2
Wake up at 06:00, breakfast at 06:30, departure at 07.00. Start of the GAME DRIVE towards Mzina Spring Pure Mzima spring water emerges at a steady daily rate of over 50 million gallons (190 million liters), creating this vibrant oasis in the heart of Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park. of the waters in Mzima Springs is due to the fact that it is underground spring water that seeps through the volcanic rock of the local Chyulu Hills. Hippos and crocodiles can be seen in the crystal clear waters. We leave Tsavo West Park to reach Amboseli Park. Around h. 10:30 am arrival at the gate of the park and start the new GAME DRIVE to admire giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, baboons, hyenas and many other animals only if we are at TsavoWest if it’s in Taita we wont pass by the chyulu instead another road to Tanzania and we go straight to Amboseli where we will pass by Masai villages and other tribes and we will see how they live.

We leave for the GAME DRIVE around 3:30 pm to head towards Lake Amboseli where you can see hippos and other animals until sunset, return to Kibo Camp, dinner, and overnight. After dinner you can admire the welcome show of a MAASAI representative.

We leave for the GAME DRIVE around 3:30 pm to head towards Lake Amboseli where you can see hippos and other animals until sunset, return to Kibo Camp, dinner, and overnight. After dinner you can admire the welcome show of a MAASAI representative.
Day 3
Early wake up as usual, breakfast and do a little of game drive in the park befor going to Taita hills and after one and a half hour we leave the park going to our next destination through Masai villages passing at the centre of Tsavo West near Tanzania border.
The journey takes about 4hours to Taita hills.
We eat lunch relax in the tilt house as animals come to the post of water for drinking as the day pas till in the evening we go for a game drive which takes about two hours to sunset. We then head back to the lodge for dinner and relax for the night.

Day 4
We wake up 6.00am, breakfast and departure for game drive. Photo safari as we head towards the park exit, to continue on the road that connects Nairobi to Mombasa, towards Tsavo East Park or through the same road of Tanzania. Short stop before entering the park. Once inside, the GAME DRIVE begins to see as many animals as possible, in the park you will meet: lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, dik-dik, antelopes, waterbugs, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, hippos and others animals of the savannah. At 13.00 you will then arrive at the lodge or tented camp. Check-in, (it is recommended to bring a photocopy of your passport) lunch and rest. Relax in the pool to admire the animals drinking from the nearby waterhole. We leave for the GAME DRIVE at 3:30 pm until sunset, return to the lodge, dinner from 7:00 pm and overnight.
Day 5
Wake up at 06:00, breakfast, and departure for the GAME DRIVE, at around 10:30 we leave the park to reach the coast. After a refreshment stop, departure to reach the village or home.
